Baja California
Baja California is the northern state on the Baja Peninsula, bordering both the U.S. states of California and Arizona. It is Mexico’s northernmost and westernmost state. Significantly more populous than Baja California Sur, which borders it to the south, Baja California is the 12th largest state in Mexico by area. Baja California is comprised of a broad diversity of land types – deserts, mountains, valleys, forests, and beaches – and the climate ranges from the arid desert, to the Mediterranean (warm, dry summers and cool, rainy winters), to winter snow and rain in the mountain ranges.
